The 2nd act of the new musical ESAURA is now in the works. Well, to be honest is has been for a while, but now a workshop has been planned to.
In the first two weeks of August the main part of the original first act-cast will meet up in Fredericia to workshop the script for the second act of this sparkling new musical, which is a collaboration between composer/lyricist John Bucchino(US) and bookwriter Mads Æbeløe(DK)
We will announce more later.

As the summer – or at least the holiday part of it – is beginning to come to an end, we thought it might be about time you saw a few shots from the performance of ESAURA’s first act – well the reading of it, though dare I say, pretty well staged – we certainly hope to share more of this wonderful story with you in the future!

Rehearsals are continuing, today we were joined by our MD, Mr. Joel Fram, it’s sounding amazing…! (I’m writing that, since of course you can’t hear it…you’ll have to join us in the beginning of July to fully get a sense of it – it’s going to be worth the trip, I’m sure!)

Today June 17th. Rehearsals for the musical Esaura has begun. Artistic director Søren Møller, welcomed the cast along with composer/lyricist John Bucchino – nice energy in the rehearsal room, as the music is being rehearsed! Excitement Galore!

         Esaura – a new Danish musical

At the moment the development of the 4th. project from Uterus is in full swing. The musical is based on local Danish history, more precisely on a Danish novel by Carl E. Simonsen called “Abraham Fournais”. It takes places around the siege of the town of Fredericia in 1849.
The book is written by Mads Æbeløe Nielsen (DK) (Steam), music and lyrics are written by John Bucchino (US) (e.g. “A catered affair”). Involved in the process is also librettist/lyricist Jennifer Toksvig (UK).
A showcase version of the musical is planned to be premiered at an annual festival celebrating the Danish victory in Fredericia July 6th. 1849. This is planned to be in the beginning of July 2010.
